Akimeka staff recognized for participation in award winning technology program, currently in use in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, April 10, 2003

Ms. Sue Payton, Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Advanced Systems and Concepts presented certificates of contribution to the Operational Management team of the Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration, for Joint Medical Operations Telemedicine. Ms. Payton congratulated the team on persevering through restricted funding, fluctuating programmatic support from potential users/customers and nebulous transition guidance from the programs of record, and providing the department of defense with a much needed utility that is currently being utilized in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
