Akimeka attends MEDB Annual Celebration, August 11, 2003
Akimeka joined Boeing, Maui Electric, Maui High Performance Computing Center, SAIC and Trex Enterprises in sponsoring the celebration of Maui Economic Development Board's 21st Anniversary. The Honorable Daniel K. Inouye, U.S. Senator, inspired the 200+ attendees, speaking of future growth and the important role MEDB has played in the responsible design and development of a strong economy on Maui.
As an active proponent of the Women In Technology Program, and with a strong commitment to bringing federally funded jobs to Maui, Akimeka supports MEDB's vision of a future in which abundant opportunities for rewarding employment are met by a qualified resident work force.
Maui residents Deanna Moon and Ellery Skog pictured with Senator Inouye at the MEDB Anniversary celebration. Both Hawaii natives, Skog works for Akimeka as a Software Engineer, while Moon pulls double duty, working part time as a Junior Web Developer and taking classes towards earning her bachelor's degree through UH West O`ahu.
