Eleven Akimeka employees and family members donated time to the Women Helping Women Shelter. Two bedrooms of the home were repainted and the childrens' sandbox was filled with new sand.

| Habitat for Humanity | November 2003 |

Seventeen Akimeka employees and family members donated time to Habitat for Humanity. The house was framed and several landscaping activities (including the construction of a taro patch) were completed.

| Kapolei Elementary School | June 2003 |

Giving back to the community, giving back to the children .... Akimeka’s Ray Adames, Implementation Coordinator for DISA-PAC, created a musical medley to support the students of Kapolei Elementary School in Honolulu. The students’ teacher, Denise Ignacio, choreographed a song-and-dance routine for the school’s “Celebration of a Decade Song Fest” to the medley that Ray produced. Because the program was so well received, Ray has become the school’s official DJ and will be providing equipment and musical support in coming years
